Guru Nanak Gitaa Kailash Memorial Foundation
Registered as a non-profit charitable trust under applicable Indian law, the Foundation operates with a transparent governance structure, audited financial records, and a strong oversight mechanism led by qualified trustees and domain experts in healthcare, education, and development.
Our Values & Goals
Our trust represents a continuity of legacy, inspired by Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s values and the life of Gitaa Kailash, who dedicated herself to advancing educational opportunity and human dignity. Our role is to bridge innovation and execution, bringing speed, expertise, and empathy to areas where public systems face scale and administrative constraints.
COMMITMENT TO CHILD WELFARE
The trust is establishing Children’s Care and Empowerment Homes to support orphaned and abandoned children. These will provide safe accommodation, monitoring, education regular support, health skill development pathways, and preparation for independent, dignified adulthood. Expansion is planned in Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh with an aim to support 1,200 children annually by 2030.
COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBLE HEALTHCARE
The trust provides preventive and primary healthcare support through community clinics, mobile units, and partnerships with medical institutions. Services include maternal and child health, mental health care, preventive screenings, and financial support for critical treatments. Target outreach is one million individuals by 2030.
COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Education programs focus on digital learning, STEM training, scholarship assistance, and school improvement partnerships. Young learners are provided access to structured academic support and future-ready skills. The trust aims to directly benefit over 25,000 students by 2030.
The trust has initiated prostate cancer screening for men in at-risk age groups, with a focus on early detection and timely medical intervention. Screenings were conducted in collaboration with qualified urologists and diagnostic teams to identify symptoms and clinical markers associated with prostate-related disorders. Community outreach encouraged male participants to undergo PSA testing and physical evaluation, enabling identification of individuals requiring specialist consultations. Cases flagged as high-risk have been referred to partner hospitals for confirmatory diagnostics and advanced care pathways. The program continues to expand its coverage through awareness sessions on men’s health, preventive lifestyle guidance, and follow-up support to ensure medical compliance and continuity of treatment where necessary.
The trust extended humanitarian relief during the recent flood events affecting Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Emergency assistance was provided to families displaced by rising water levels and infrastructure loss. Essential supplies including dry food, clean water, clothing, and basic hygiene materials were distributed to affected households. The foundation worked in coordination with local administrative bodies and ground volunteers to ensure that aid reached high-impact locations efficiently. Support was prioritised for elderly individuals, women, children, and those without immediate economic means for recovery. Financial contributions were allocated to community reconstruction and medical needs arising from flood related injuries and contamination risks. The trust continues to assist selected families through post flood rehabilitation, with follow-up assessments to ensure sustained recovery.
The trust has organized community medical outreach to strengthen early detection and access to care. Recent health screening efforts served approximately 300 individuals from underserved backgrounds. Through these screenings, several previously undiagnosed medical conditions were identified, including suspected cancer cases that have now been referred for further evaluation and treatment support. The trust maintains active coordination with healthcare institutions to ensure that any serious conditions detected during camps receive proper clinical follow-up. Documentation and monitoring systems have been established to track patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
